what the hell is wrong with me?! argh.
… and now that i get the submission confirmation email i see that it is basing the submission time on EST. so i could have had another 8 hrs to make my research proposal not suck as much. oh well. it’s done.
also, i love my little sister for staying up until 4am her time reading over my essays :)
come onnnn essays
nothing like last minute, of course. i’ve got 3 essays to finish for my NSF application, and.. yeah. 1 is in ok shape, 1 is in meh shape, 1 i still have to add a lot to.
due by ‘5pm submitter’s local time.’ i’d really like to pretend i am on the east coast, buying me an extra 8 hrs ie night, but i’m also terrified that i won’t be able to submit after 5pm passes here. also my essays are all like, hey i’m in kenya! occasionally.
work has been so ridiculously busy this past week that there’s no guarantee that i will have time to do much work on these tomorrow. which is when they’re due. eek. here’s to a long night?
and i have so many emails i want to respond to! but they have to wait..
[ps this is how i choose to manage my time when i have a deadline. writing blog entries about my poor time management skills. haha. ok turning wireless off now!]

i watched twilight last night. it’s SO BAD. the power was out most of the time so we watched it on andi’s laptop rather than the projector. i know, woe is me. but we still don’t have water which sucks.
it’s 2am here so i should go to sleep (or rather, should have been asleep for awhile now, as i usually get up around 7), but i’m not tired yet! maybe i’m still on a birthday high. or at least a brownie sugar high. eric’s brownie recipe is just perfect and the brownies are super addictive. i may have had 4. and some of the mini bite ones. full birthday details can be found at http://beccainafrica.tumblr.com :) i still can’t believe that the power didn’t go out at all tonight! such luck.
